So, I have a toddler, as you might have read in my About section.
She gets angry, frustrated, screams, cries and all the tantrum things we all do. What should I do in situations like that? What DO I do in situations like that? Well, as we all know we should try to stay as calm as we can and try to calm them down too. I do that a lot of the times. I try to remember that she may be hungry, tired, or might need something. She is such a good kid, by the way. She rarely has tantrums, but when she does, they are bad!!!
And you know, it is pretty hard to stay calm at times. Sometimes I am not in the mood or sometimes I just don't want to be around and then
she comes around screaming, crying, yelling, etc. I get frustrated too, so instead of yelling/shouting back at her, I do what they do. Time out. It might not be helping her or me understand what it is that is bother her but she will know that if she is just doing it to get my attention it is not acceptable.
I have noticed that her tantrums have become a routine overtime; because as my husband said, I give her a lot of attention when she is having tantrums which she obviously likes. She is a big girl now, she can speak 2 word sentences now but I really don't like the fact that she don't use them and she rather goes for tantrums. I think I need to remind myself over time that I have to use words with her too in order for her to understand that if we need something we ask for it, not cry or yell.
For now, that's all I got to say. I'll talk to you guys later, till then,
SMILE. :)
