Hello there again,
I feel like having some fun today. Let's incorporate some fun activities to do with our child(ren) while we are spending some quality time with them. I am a huge fan of spending quality time with my loved ones, that is the best way to be together. Before we actually get into the gaming and activities world, let's talk a little bit about me because that way you'd understand a little better. I have studied Early Childhood Education (ECE as I like to call it) and I do know about how children develop overtime, to some extent. I haven't been actively participating in the ECE field for the past, let's say, 2 years or so, so I have forgotten a lot about it. But now I feel, I'll need to start brushing up on my ECE knowledge to educate some of you guys (if you like) about this field and mainly for the purpose of my blog.
So, games...activities. There are a lot of age appropriate games and activities for every child out there, you just have to dig deeper. For the sake of this post and because
I have a toddler, let's start off with 3 activities for toddlers:
As you know, I haven't implemented any of these. So I suggest you don't do them as yet, because I don't want to be responsible for any mess in your house. :P I'll see how these activities go with my toddler and report back to you as soon as I can. I cannot promise that it will be tomorrow, but I can say that I will be sometime this week. So keep in touch and see how messy we get. I might upload some pictures while being engaged in the activities, or I might not. You just have to wait and see...
Till then...
BE PATIENT. ❤️

I have a toddler, let's start off with 3 activities for toddlers:
- The first one I really liked is something I made up...someone might've done it as well. But I just thought of it and it sounded quiet fun. I haven't really "implemented" (ECE term) the activity yet, but I'm sure Ar will love it. I'll name it sticky sticky. What is required is only a contact paper and some tape (if you don't have contact paper, just use tape). It is very simple, I'll secure some contact paper (sticky side up) on the floor with some pieces of tape. And me and Ar can step on it and put our hands on it. This will be quiet fun (I guess, we shall see).
- The next one I have in mind is some gooey goop. I forgot what it was called....oh wait, it was called goop. OK then...This one is easy too. You need some cornstarch and water, mix these two together and you have goop. This is so much fun, I have implemented it in my placements and it was a huge hit. I believe older kids will enjoy it more than the younger, but I'll see how Ar likes it. It's quite messy, so dress appropriately :P And if guests are coming over, protect your surrounding area with some old newspaper. It is messy believe me, unless your child is one of those who don't like to get their hands dirty.
- Last one....paint!!! Who doesn't love paint? The colors, the texture, the feeling....everything is just perfect. This one is simple, you know what to do. But I am thinking instead of just the regular type where you have some paints, paint brushes and paper; I'll do it like the sticky sticky. It will be very messy, I know. But it'll be fun, I think?? Just tape some paper down on the floor and squirt some paint on it and swirl around in it barefooted. OMG, that sounds very messy. I can only imagine how it would be in person.
