Parenting....intimidating word, isn't it? No? OK, then I guess it is only for me. To me, it does sound intimidating. Just think of it; added number of chores, community/peer pressure to do it right, and most importantly, responsibility of a human being.
It is a great feeling being a mother, it's just out of our (or at least my) power to even imagine a human being growing inside you. Then you give birth to it and then you look after it for the rest of your life. I guess I am getting slightly off topic here. You are here for some parenting tips, not what I think or how my mind works. Right? Let's get to it then:

Then you give birth to it and then you look after it for the rest of your life. I guess I am getting slightly off topic here. You are here for some parenting tips, not what I think or how my mind works. Right? Let's get to it then:
- First and foremost, relax and take it easy. You don't have to be perfect, no one is. Remember, you are not going to do everything right and that is OK. It takes trial and error to raise a child.
- It also takes a village to raise a child. You cannot do it all by yourself, no one can. I can't. Reach out to people who are there to help you. Even the smallest gestures can feel the greatest, like helping someone with a stroller down the stairs. Don't be afraid to ask.
- Be patient, everything will fall into place and if it doesn't, who cares? Really? I am joking, do what you need to do and relax.
- Have faith in your child(ren). Don't give up on them, keep trying. Remember that when they were born they knew nothing. You are teaching them everything and they are learning. If they are slow learners, have faith and be patient, as mentioned above.
- Have fun and be comfortable with them. They are not going to be the same ever again. Spend some quality time with them. Let them know they can befriend you and share everything with you.
- And most importantly, be the person you want your child(ren) to be (be a good role model). I don't have to go into details about this, do I? :P
