Issues?!?! & Online safety

Hi,

I am sorry but this post won't be so much interesting but I'll still try to make it interesting if I could. I am so upset because there's something wrong with my blog. I don't know what it is but I have viewers who cannot view my blog anymore, I don't know what happened. I am trying to figure it out with the help from Google support, let's hope for the best. I really didn't want to rant about it, not on my blog at least, but I just couldn't help it. I thought that maybe if I write this post and let you guys know that there is something wrong, then maybe you guys can help me figure out what it it? If any of you guys are having trouble with anything on my blog can you please let me know in the comment section or by contacting me by filling out the contact form? I would really appreciate it.

Let's move on from the issue and talk about parenting. Today I didn't really have any specific topic to talk about, but while I was writing my post yesterday on technology, I came across thinking about online safety. I thought about
including this topic into yesterday's but then I thought no, this should be a separate blog post. Here I am, trying to touch up on online safety topic. It is a very vague topic and I cannot cover everything about it in a single post. I'll have to divide up the topic and write about it some other days, but today, I'll just talk about it generally.

So, online safety...how important is it? It is so important to teach our children about online safety. I have seen and read stories about it and it scares me to the nerves. Thankfully, I haven't personally seen or heard the stories related to online safety, I have read and seen them over the internet though, you might have as well. I do have a personal experience on it too, maybe I'll talk about it another day in another post. For now, let's just concentrate on what needs to be discussed. It is our responsibility to make sure our child(ren) are safe online, there are too many online predators over the internet EVERYWHERE. There's nothing safe online, nothing. You always have to keep an eye on your child(ren)'s online activities and keep them safe. They may not like you interfering in their lives, which is normal everyone needs their privacy, but do it in a way that they won't notice that you are keeping an eye out. They won't understand that we are doing it for their safety, children now-a-days just don't want their parents to interfere in anything they do. Nonetheless, we still have to do it regardless of we and/or they like it or not.

For now that's all I got to say. Oh and I just remembered that if you were encountering any issues with the site, how would you know? :D Anyway, if you do encounter any problems in accessing or interacting with the site, please let me know. Also, let me know what else I should talk about next time and how to break down this topic: Online safety. Thanks for all your help and support.

LOVE! <3

  1. My daughter will be 10 in November. My husband and I discuss being online with her all the time. Luckily for us she's not interested in having social media accounts just yet. She does have a Snap Chat account but that's it and has only shared it with her friend across the street and her Aunt and Uncle. She's told me she has no desire to have a Facebook, Twitter or Instagram account and I am so happy for that. I told her at this age she's too young and it's not necessary. This is something we'll always discuss with her in making sure we're aware of her online usage. As for what to post, my feeling is that that's entirely up to the person. For me, I want my blog to be about variety. My blog would probably be more conversational and I'm fine with that right now. Hope to see more from you! (Sorry so long.)

    1. No, don't be sorry at all. I love long talks; they let you know more about a person. That is great, I am really happy to hear that she's not interested in social media just yet. I think my blog is also heading towards conversational style, and I am OK with it for now.
